Main Ingredients
- 2 cups Black-eyed peas soaked overnight
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon Black pepper to taste
1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add chopped onions and cook until translucent.
3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
4. Add soaked black-eyed peas, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
5. Pour in enough water to cover the peas. Bring to a boil.
6. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes or until peas are tender.
7. Adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot.
