Dalmatian Lenten Cabbage Soup - Broeta de Verza de Magro
A traditional Dalmatian soup made with cabbage, perfect for Lent.

Main Ingredients
- 1 head Cabbage chopped
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 large Onion diced
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 4 cups Vegetable Broth
- 2 pcs Bay Leaves
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black Pepper
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Add chopped cabbage and stir well to combine.
Pour in vegetable broth and add bay leaves. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30-35 minutes, until cabbage is tender.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove bay leaves before serving.
