Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers
  • 8 cups water
  • ½ cup sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 stick cinnamon optional

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. 2. Add the dried hibiscus flowers and cinnamon stick (if using) to the boiling water.
  3. 3. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  5. 5. Strain the mixture into a pitcher, discarding the solids.
  6. 6. Stir in the sugar until dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  7. 7. Chill in the refrigerator before serving. Serve over ice if desired.
