Lemony Basil Pesto Recipe

- 2 cups Fresh Basil Leaves
- ½ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- ½ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- ⅓ cup Pine Nuts toasted
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 whole Lemon zested and juiced
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper freshly ground
In a food processor, combine basil, Parmesan, pine nuts, and garlic. Pulse until finely chopped.
With the processor running, slowly add olive oil in a steady stream until the mixture is smooth.
Add lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Pulse to combine. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
