Cake Batter
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup butter softened
- 2 eggs large
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
Peach Filling
- 4 cups peaches sliced
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix in the milk.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Pour half of the batter into a greased baking pan.
In a separate bowl, combine the peaches, sugar, and cinnamon. Spread the peach mixture over the batter in the pan.
Pour the remaining batter over the peaches.
Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool before serving.
