Cake Ingredients
- 3 tablespoon Butter melted
- ½ cup Brown sugar
- 2 Pears peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 ½ cups All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- ½ teaspoon Baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- ½ cup Unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- ½ cup Milk
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
Pour the melted butter into the cake pan and sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the butter. Arrange the pear slices on top.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
Pour the batter over the pears in the cake pan and spread it out evenly.
Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert it onto a serving plate.
