Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ¼ cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
  • ½ cup Pickled jalapenos chopped

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, vegetable oil, and beaten egg.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then fold in the cheese and jalapenos.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving.
