  • 1 lb white fish fillets cut into strips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup beer preferably Mexican lager
  • 8 pieces corn tortillas warmed
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1 unit lime cut into wedges

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually whisk in beer until smooth.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Dip fish strips into the batter, then fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Assemble tacos by placing fish on tortillas, then topping with cabbage, sour cream, salsa, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime.
